With the announcement of FADO 2020 International Photography Competition (3 awards and 4 accepted images) the last day of 2020 I reached 102 Awards and also 1000 Accepted images in international competitions.
As we can all accept 2020 has been a hard year for all of us. I locked down myself for over 5 months like most of people and had the chance to work on some of my photos that I never had the chance to work before as we were not actually shooting/working on any new projects during pandemic.
And I really didn`t feel like shooting after the lockdown as well so I focused on competitions. I had a goal in my mind that I wanted to reach for a long time but since I moved to NYC I wasn`t actually competing like I used to before. My goal was to reach 100 awards on international competitions held by different federations and countries. Also wanted to reach 1000 acceptances.
Still a few was missing on the last day of 2020. 99 Awards and 996 Acceptances. And the good news came from Portugal. After the announcement of the results of "FADO 2020 International Photography Competition" I reached 102 Awards and 1000 Acceptances.
2020 has been most productive year for me on photography competitions and I had 40 Awards and 339 Accepted images even I haven`t competed half of the year. And reached a total of 102 Awards and 1000 Accepted images and still 6 more competitions to be announced of 2020.

The photo has been taken during 2012 Erdek Triathlon , Balikesir Turkey. The photo is a portrait of a paratriathlete (Kemal Ozdemir) in swimming course of the competition.

The photo is the story of a man finally getting into light after a long and dark path. It is the portrait of a man not tired of trying over and over again for his targets. Actually the photo itself is the 2nd shoot of the same composition. Even everyone loved the first version we had a feeling that we could do better and sure we did. The model in this work is one of my models I worked the most and dear friend Burak Akerdem.

The photo has been taken during 2014 Antalya European Triathlon Cup, Antalya Turkey. The photo is a beautiful reflection of bike course of the competition. The triathlete with colorful bike is Yuliya Yelistratova of Ukraine.
